White Rock 2017 is an experimental blend of seven, predominantly Estate-grown, varieties including L’Acadie Seyval, Chardonnay and Muscat. Each varietal wine was barrel-fermented separately, taken through malo-lactic fermentation and aged in French oak barrels for over a year.
White Rock 2017 is a small lot wine that takes Gaspereau Vineyards’ white wine profile in a whole new direction. It has a very aromatic nose of both tropical fruit and integrated oak that can only come from wines that were made from aromatic varieties that were fermented and aged in mature oak barrels. Notes of mango and apricot are expressed initially and are rounded out with soft and integrated vanilla and oak notes.
The tropical aromatic profile observed on the nose carries through to the palate, companied by soft acidity and tannins and an elegant mouth feel.
Only 250 cases were made.
